The Santa Fe Improv Players practice the art of improvisation, a style of comedic theater where scenes and stories are created on-the-spot.
Our show is called NOW because what we do, what you see, happens in the now, in the present moment, and we all experience that moment together.
As you may know, Improv is essential training for comedic actors. What you may not know is that learning to improvise is valuable to regular people as well.
That’s why the Santa Fe Improv community is made up of people from all professions, all ages, and all walks of life.
Improv sharpens your creativity, develops your courage, and helps you adapt to change. It also involves being fully present in the moment, developing new friendships, laughing, and having fun.
You don’t need to be funny or clever to be a good improvisor. Our unique curriculum unpacks many of the mysteries of improv and gives you a step-by-step technique that is simple to learn and apply.
When you see our show, you’ll think to yourself:
“You know… that looks like fun… and I could actually DO that.”
And you know what – you’re right!
